Just one of those days...

I think I've only missed 3 weeks since I began writing this newsletter in June last year, including a planned Xmas break.​

But I'll be honest with you, I've got nothing for you today. I've been stretching myself thin lately, and by lately, I mean the last 10 years.​

Since day one, it's only been me. Any piece of content you've watched or read was done 100% by me, and I alone.​

Yesterday I played padel and went for tapas with friends instead of working. You won't find a single regret, but it does mean I've got client programmes to update, a dog to walk, dinner to cook, content to edit, and a website to update. And a million and one messages to reply to 🫠 All of which I'm very grateful for.​

I had planned to tell you all about the optimal amount of protein needed to maintain muscle when you're attempting to lose body fat. All backed by science, of course. I didn't wanna half ass it and do you a disservice, so that'll come next week.

If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I'm as open and honest as they come. What you see is what you get. Part of the reason my clients love me so much because they always know where they stand with me. No sugar coating BS here.

You'll also know that I NEVER pretend to be the 'perfect fitness coach', as so many do online. I'm human just like you, and like you, I've got a bunch of flaws. This isn't a personal attack on you, by the way, but all humans are flawed - it's called being a human being πŸ˜‚

​I'm always one to find the teachable moment, and there's one here. As author James Clear said in his book Atomic Habits, "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems." My systems have let me down, and that's why you have to wait until next week to expand your protein knowledge.

A content system breaking down isn't the end of the world, but your health system collapsing is a different story entirely. Just remember that.

I'm going to leave you with two things that have made me very happy in the last 36 hrs:

I got this message from one of my clients yesterday. She doesn't know I'm sharing this, but it's too good not to. Not to blow smoke up my own arse, but to show you what happens when you go all-in on your health. This lady has been a rockstar since day 1, and we're now on something like day 1200! Yeah, you might make more money flipping houses and shorting stocks, but you'll never do this sh*t!​

I had a few calls last week with potential new clients (all very nice), who took me up on my offer of FREE coaching for the rest of the year. It's still there by the way πŸ‘€

 

 

And my fianceé and I got some great news this morning, which we're both chuffed with. Building a solo business ain't easy, but the right partner makes it that much easier! Something I'm extremely grateful for πŸ™ƒ

Right, I promise to do better next week, you have my word!
